概要

本来、1620年いっぱい使われる予定であったが、万暦帝の後を継いだ泰昌帝（光宗）は即位の1か月後に急死したため、光宗独自の年号を立てる年が無くなってしまった。

そのため、大臣の群議で万暦48年8月1日（1620年8月28日）を元号を泰昌に改める。詳細は「泰昌」を参照
