七尾市（ななおし）は、石川県能登半島中央部にある市。富山湾、七尾湾に面し、能登島を含む。

能登地方の中心自治体で、2004年（平成16年）10月1日、市町村合併により新市制の七尾市が発足した。「七尾」の名称の由来は、七尾城のあった山（通称・城山）の7つの尾根（菊尾、亀尾、松尾、虎尾、竹尾、梅尾、龍尾）からと言われる[1]。七尾駅前

合併によって、七尾湾中央部に位置する能登島町、七尾西湾の中島町、田鶴浜町の区域を市域に含み、七尾南湾を取り囲む形となった。東部は富山湾に面しており、湾に沿って北東へ伸びる崎山半島は、先端の観音崎で能登島と向き合っている。和倉温泉、赤浦温泉、赤崎温泉など温泉が多い。
