ロシアの歴史（ロシアのれきし）は1000年以上あり、6世紀-7世紀の東ヨーロッパ（ロシア）平野における東スラブ人の再定住から始まる。東スラブ人は後にロシア人、ウクライナ人、ベラルーシ人に分かれた。ロシアの歴史は大きく7つの時代に分けることができる。キエフ大公国（キエフ・ルーシ）（9世紀 - 12世紀）、タタールのくびき（13世紀 - 15世紀）、モスクワ大公国（1340年 - 1547年）、ロシア・ツァーリ国（1547年 - 1721年）、ロシア帝国（1721年 - 1917年）、ソビエト連邦（ロシア共和国）（1917年 - 1991年）、ロシア連邦（1991年以降）である。
概要

伝統的にロシアの歴史の始まりは、ヴァリャーグの一人、リューリクが862年にラドガを支配し、ノヴゴロドを建設したところからだと考えられている。882年には、ノヴゴロド公オレグがキエフを征服し、一つの権力の下で東スラヴの北部と南部の土地を統一し、キエフ大公国の基礎を築いた[1]。

988年には、ウラジーミル1世がビザンティン教会（東方正教会）からキリスト教を受け入れ、東ローマ帝国のビザンティン文化とスラヴ文化の統合を開始した。しかし、キエフ大公国は、1237年から1240年にあったモンゴルのルーシ侵攻の結果、崩壊した。

モンゴルから開放後の14世紀、支配下に置かれなかったノヴゴロド公国とウラジーミル・スーズダリ大公国はリトアニア大公国の一部となった。イヴァン3世の時代にはロシアによる単一国家が形成され、16世紀初頭にはモスクワ大公国を中心に北部と東部の諸侯国を統一し、ロシア・ツァーリ国が建国される[2]。最初の君主はイヴァン4世だった。イヴァン4世による統治の始まりは、最初のロシア議会（ゼムスキー・ソボル）の設立によって示された。その後、国家は大きく領土を拡大し、汗国のジョチ・ウルスを併合した。そしてロシア・リトアニア戦争（ロシア語版）に敗れたリトアニア大公国は、国家の独立を失い、南ロシアの土地をポーランドに譲渡した。後に、フョードル1世の死とリヴォニア戦争の敗北、それにオプリーチニナの失敗の結果、ノヴゴロド公国から存在したリューリク朝は終焉を迎え、動乱時代を経て、新たにロマノフ朝が台頭し、ロシア帝国が成立した。これと同時に農奴制が始まった。18世紀から19世紀にかけて、国家は絶えず拡大を続け、バルト三国、黒海北部地域、コーカサス地域、フィンランド、中央アジアをポーランド分割の間で獲得し、ザカルパッチャを除くロシアの旧領地のすべてを支配した。
