ヨルシカは、コンポーザーのn-bunaと、ボーカルのsuisによる日本の男女2人組のロックバンド[1]。2017年結成。2019年、ユニバーサルJよりメジャーデビュー。レインボーエンタテインメント所属[2]。
概要

コンポーザーとしても活動しているn-bunaが、ワンマンライブにゲストボーカルとして参加したsuisと共に2017年に結成[3]。n-buna自身は「ヨルシカはバンドとは正確には少しイメージが違う」とした上で、ヨルシカ自体も一つの作品であると語っている[4]。なお、「作者が作品より前に出ないようにしたい」とのコンセプトから、2023年5月の時点で2人の顔や詳細なプロフィールは公開されていない[5][6]。

ヨルシカというバンド名は、1stミニアルバム「夏草が邪魔をする」の収録曲「雲と幽霊」の歌詞の一節「夜しかもう眠れずに」から取られた[3]。「夏草が邪魔をする」の撮影・アートディレクションはロゴデザインと共に久保木香が担当。また、目のようなデザインのロゴマークは月と月が向かい合っているモチーフで、時計の針にもなっており、「6時から夜」という意味が込められている[7]。また、制作時「鹿の目」というアイデアもあった。
略歴

2018年5月9日、2ndミニアルバム「負け犬にアンコールはいらない」がオリコン週間ランキング5位を獲得。

2019年4月10日、1stフルアルバム『だから僕は音楽を辞めた』を発売。8月28日、2ndフルアルバム『エルマ』を発売。同アルバムは2019年8月29日付けのオリコンデイリーアルバムチャート、iTunesアルバムチャート、LINE MUSICチャートにて1位を獲得。

2019年10月、オフィシャルファンクラブ『ヨルシカ smartphone site 「後書き」』がオープン[8]。

2020年2月、「第34回日本ゴールドディスク大賞」ベスト5ニューアーティスト【邦楽】を受賞[9]。2020年公開の長編アニメーション映画『泣きたい私は猫をかぶる』に、主題歌として「花に亡霊」、挿入歌として「夜行」、エンドソングに「嘘月」を提供[10][11]。

2020年7月、Simejiランキング10代1,900人が選ぶ「2020年下半期 さらにヒットしそうなアーティストTOP10」で1位に[12]。

2020年7月29日、3rdアルバム『盗作』を発売[13]。同アルバムはiTunes、Apple Music、LINE MUSICなど各ストリーミングサイト及びダウンロードサイトでランキング1位を獲得、サイトカテゴリー別も含めると計18冠を達成[14]。

2020年8月29日「ただ君に晴れ」のミュージックビデオの再生回数が1億回を突破[15]。『news23』（TBSテレビ）に「風を食む」を書き下ろし9月28日放送分から、エンディングテーマ曲として使用されている[13][16]。

2021年1月27日、3rdフルアルバム『盗作』の続編であり[17]、TBS『news23』のエンディングテーマ曲として使用されている「風を食む」[16][13]や「大成建設」TVCMソングに起用されている「春泥棒」[18][19][13]などが収録されたヨルシカ1stEP「創作」を発売[16]。

2021年1月9日、ヨルシカ初の配信ライブ「ヨルシカ Live 前世」が開催された[20]。

2021年2月12日、YouTube Channel「ヨルシカ/n-buna Official」がチャンネル登録者200万人を突破[21]。

2021年4月3日、「だから僕は音楽を辞めた」のミュージックビデオの再生回数が1億回を突破[22]。
