メタル・ブレイド・レコーズ (METAL BLADE RECORDS) は、1982年にブライアン・スレイゲル (Brian Slagel) によって設立されたアメリカのヘヴィメタル・レーベルである。
『メジャー・レーベルに無視されてきたLAメタルにフォーカスする』という目的で設立され、後にスレイヤーやメタリカなどのスラッシュメタルバンドを世に送り出す。現在では、アメリカのメタルコア/ハードコア・パンク・シーンで活躍する「Unearth」、「As I Lay Dying」、「The Black Dahlia Murder」、「The Red Chord」、「Shai Hulud」などのバンドが所属している。
Metal Blade Recordsが設立されてから5年毎に、その年に発売されたレーベル所属バンドのCDには記念のロゴが入る。
また、創設者であるブライアンが自ら所属アーティストのライブに出かけることもある。社長でありながらもバンドTシャツを着るなど、気合を入れて行くのだという。 1981年から2006年までリリースされていた、新人メタルバンドを発掘し世に送り出す役割を担っていたコンピレーションアルバムである。プロデューサーは、レーベル創設者のブライアンである。全部で10作品がリリースされている。シリーズ毎の曲・アーティストは以下の通り。
Brian Slagel(ブライアン・スレイゲル)
1961年2月14日生まれ。ロサンゼルス・ウッドランドヒルズ(Woodland Hills)で育つ。:10代の頃からLAのメタル専門レコード店「Oz Records」で働きながら、メタル同人誌『The New Heavy Metal Revue(ニューヘビーメタルレビュー)』を創刊する。
1982年、無銘のアメリカ出身バンドのオーディション作品的役割を果たしていたコンピレーション・アルバム『メタル・マサカー Metal Massacre』を製作、すぐに5000枚を売り上げたが、第一弾にはメタリカが「ヒット・ザ・ライツ Hit The Lights」を提供していた。
同年、Metal Blade Recordsを設立する（当時のレーベル名は「メタルワークス(Metal Works）であった）。
