マリアナ沖海戦（マリアナおきかいせん、英語: Battle of the Philippine Sea）は、太平洋戦争末期の海戦。1944年（昭和19年）6月19日から6月20日にかけて西太平洋のマリアナ諸島沖で勃発した大日本帝国（日本）とアメリカ合衆国（アメリカ）の海軍空母機動部隊同士の戦いである。この戦いで、アメリカ軍が勝利し日本軍の連合艦隊は壊滅的に敗北した。アメリカ軍は、この地域の制海権や制空権を確保する事となった。

戦場となったのは、前述したように西太平洋のマリアナ諸島西方沖であり、小沢治三郎中将指揮下の大日本帝国海軍の第一機動艦隊とレイモンド・スプルーアンス大将指揮下のアメリカ海軍の第五艦隊が衝突した。同じく日米戦闘のサイパンの戦いと同時期に勃発し、日本軍は当時占領していたサイパン島をアメリカ軍から防衛するため海上阻止にかかった。そしてそれを攻撃したアメリカ軍との間にこの戦いが勃発したのである。しかし、結果的にアメリカ軍が勝利し日本軍の連合艦隊は壊滅的敗北を喫した。なお、アメリカ軍はこの戦いで同地域の制海権や制空権を確保したことからサイパン島を占領した。その後、同国軍は日本本土空襲を激化させた。

日本軍は当初の目論見であった太平洋戦争の短期決着に失敗し、すでに多くの戦力を失っていた。そのため、1943年中期から日本海軍は戦力を極力温存して、基地航空部隊、空母航空部隊の再編、充実を図り、アメリカ軍侵攻の中心をマーシャル諸島方面と想定し、そこで総力をもってアメリカ空母機動部隊を迎撃、撃滅するとした「Z号作戦」を計画していた。しかし「ろ号作戦」にその予定の戦力が投入されたため、計画を変更せざるを得なくなり、決戦想定場所をマリアナ諸島もしくはカロリン諸島に変更し、これを「新Z号作戦」と名づけた。

1943年9月30日、絶対国防圏の設定を発令[1]。アメリカ軍は中部太平洋での攻勢を本格化させ、11月にはギルバート諸島を占領（タラワの戦い、マキンの戦い）、1944年2月にはトラック泊地を空襲するとマーシャル諸島を占領した（クェゼリンの戦い・エニウェトクの戦い）。
