ペタバイト (petabyte) はデータ量やコンピュータの記憶装置の大きさを表す単位である。PBと略記される。

ペタバイトは250 = 1,125,899,906,842,624（約1,125兆）バイトであり、1,024テラバイトである。

一般的にペタという接頭辞はSI接頭語系では1015をさすことが多いが、情報やコンピュータの分野においては二進接頭辞である210の累乗倍で表すことが多く、ペタは250を表すため、上記のような数字になる。しかしながらペタバイトは単純にするため千兆バイトとされることも多い。

このため特に250バイトについてはペビバイトと呼ぶことを推奨されている。
