ベルナール・ジェルマン・エティエンヌ・ド・ラセペード（Bernard-Germain-Etienne de La Ville-sur-Illon, comte de Lacepede or La Cepede、1756年12月26日 ? 1825年10月6日）は、フランスの博物学者である。ビュフォンを引き継ぎ、『博物誌』の刊行を行った。 アジャンに生まれた。父親から教育を受け、刊行の始まった『博物誌』を読んで学んだ。音楽も楽しみピアノやオルガンを巧みに演奏した。作曲も行い、発表されなかったが2つのオペラは作曲家のクリストフ・ヴィリバルト・グルックに高く評価された。論文、"Essai sur l'electricite" (1781)と"Physique generale et particulaire" (1782?1784)を書き、ビュフォンに認められて、1875年にパリ植物園（Jardin du Roi）での仕事を得て、『博物誌』編集をすることになった。1788年から1789年に2巻の"Histoire des quadrupedes, ovipares et des serpents"、1789年に "Histoire naturelle des reptiles" を出版した。 フランス革命の後、立法議会の議員を務めたが、恐怖政治の時代に九月虐殺に反対する立場から危険となりパリを離れた。パリ植物園が改組されると、爬虫類や魚類の研究の職に任じられた。1798年に魚についての "Histoire naturelle des poissons"の第1巻を刊行し、1803年に第5巻を刊行し、1804年に『鯨誌』("Histoire des cetaces")を刊行した。この後、政治的な状況が学術研究を許さなくなった。1799年に元老院議員となり、なんどか議長を務めた。その後も大臣などを務めた。1796年にフランス学士院の会員、1806年に王立協会の会員、1812年にスウェーデン王立科学アカデミーの外国人会員に選出された。 出典は列挙するだけでなく、脚注などを用いてどの記述の情報源であるかを明記してください。記事の信頼性向上にご協力をお願いいたします。（2012年6月） ウィキメディア・コモンズには、ベルナール・ジェルマン・ド・ラセペード
