B, C, F, W, Z, Aは外来の固有名詞（地名や人名など）、外来語の表記以外にはほとんど使わない。

Q, Xの文字は全くと言っていいほど使われない。Qの表記は「k」で表され、Xの表記は「ks」などで表されるからである。

Aはスウェーデン系の人名や、スウェーデンの地名の表記に使われる。

外来語の[?]（日本語のシャ、シュ、ショに相当する音）を表記するために「?」を用いることがある（アルファベットには含まれない）。
