ピーター・カパルディ（Peter Capaldi、1958年4月14日[1] - ）は、イギリスの俳優・映画監督。

スコットランド出身[1]。1980年代以降、40を超える映画やテレビドラマに出演しており、特にイギリスのテレビドラマ・シリーズ『ドクター・フー』の12代目ドクター役として知られる。監督としては1994年に『フランツ・カフカの素晴らしき哉、人生!（英語版）』でアカデミー短編映画賞を受賞。
略歴

グラスゴーにて生まれる[1]。母親はアイルランドのキャバン県出身、父親はイタリアのピチニスコ出身[2]。高校卒業後グラスゴー美術学校に進学。在学中に、クレイグ・ファーガソン（後のアメリカのテレビ司会者・コメディアン）らと Dreamboys というパンク・ロックバンドを結成し、ボーカルを務める[3][4]。

映画『ローカル・ヒーロー』（1983年 イギリス）に出演し、俳優としてのキャリアを始める。初の主演作品は、BBCのテレビドラマ Mr Wakefield's Crusade （1992年）のルーク・ウェイクフィールド役。翌1993年には、コメディ『ソフト・トップ・ハード・ショルダー（英語版）』の脚本を担当すると同時に主人公Gavin Belliniの役で主演し、ロンドン映画祭の観客賞とBAFTAスコットランド・アワード主演男優賞を受賞した。

また、1993年には自身が監督を務めた映画 Franz Kafka's It's a Wonderful Life を公開。
