ビアク島（ビアクとう、インドネシア語: Pulau Biak）はインドネシア、パプア州北部のチェンデラワシ湾、ニューギニアの北西部に位置する小島。ビアク島はビアク諸島の一部で、最大の島である。

島で最大の人口密集地は南部海岸に位置するビアク市である。他は人口密度の低い小村が多い。
歴史

第二次世界大戦中には日本軍の航空基地が存在した。ビアク島の戦いの後、アメリカ軍が島を占領した。占領された航空基地は「モクメル飛行場」と改名され、その後オーストラリア空軍に移管された。

1996年の地震と津波で大きな被害を出した。

1998年7月6日、インドネシア軍による島民の大量虐殺事件が発生した。
人口動態

ビアク島の住民は大多数がメラネシア人で、宗教的にはキリスト教徒である。公用語はインドネシア語だが、ビアク語も広く用いられる。オランダ語や英語の使用もみられるが、これは限定的である。人口は11万2873人（2010年国勢調査）[1]。

ビアク島の気候は、年間を通してほぼ同一の気温である熱帯雨林気候である。市内の年間平均気温は27度であり、それは一般的に毎日の平均気温と同じである。市内は、年間を通しての毎月の降水量が年間降水量およそ2,850mmを平均したちょうど良い量であることがわかり、10月と11月は、月平均の降水量200mmを若干下回る最も乾燥する月である。
