バナナラマ（英語: Bananarama）は、イングランド出身のガール・グループ。

当初はシヴォーン・ファーイを含めた3人組であったが、1990年代からは、カレン・ウッドワード、サラ・ダリンのデュオで活動している。2017年、約30年ぶりにオリジナルラインナップの3人編成ツアーが実現し、期間限定で共演した。代表曲に「クルーエル・サマー」「ヴィーナス」「第一級恋愛罪」などがある。
来歴オリジナル編成時代（1984年）

デビューのきっかけは、セックス・ピストルズのスティーヴ・ジョーンズとポール・クックが使っていたリハーサル・スタジオの上の部屋に彼女達が住んでいたことによる。彼らの助けにより「アイ・ア・ムアナ」のデモテープが作られ、後にデビューシングルとなった。

その後「シャイ・ボーイ」「クルーエル・サマー」「愛しのロバート・デ・ニーロ」といったヒット・シングルを次々にリリース。そして1986年から始まったストック・エイトキン・ウォーターマンとのコラボレーションにより「ヴィーナス」「アイ・ハード・ア・ルーマー (噂)」「第一級恋愛罪」など更なるヒット曲が生まれ世界的な活躍を見せた。日本ではバブル景気絶頂期の1980年代後半のディスコブームと時を同じくして大ブレイクした。

しかし1988年にシヴォーンが目指す音楽性の相違と結婚によってロサンゼルスへ移住したことにより脱退。その穴を埋める形で同年にジャッキー・オサリヴァンが加入したが1991年には別のバンドSlippery Feetを結成するため脱退。以降は30年以上カレンとサラのデュオとしての活動が続いている。

1998年には『ユーロトラッシュ (テレビ番組)（英語版）』の為だけにシヴォーンを含めた3人体制が一時的に復活、「恋のウォータールー」をカバーした。シヴォーンは2002年にもG-A-Y（英語版）で行われた20周年記念ライヴにもゲスト出演している。

2005年には「マイ・ディレクション」が15年ぶりに全英TOP20に入り、「ルック・オン・ザ・フロアー」が「ヴィーナス」以来のUSクラブヒットになるなど軽い再ブレイクを果たした。

2016年には27年ぶりの単独来日公演を敢行[6]。約30年ぶりに復帰したシヴォーン・ファーイ (2018年)

2017年、シヴォーンが、約30年ぶりに翌年8月までの期間限定で本格的に復帰[7]。
