ハプログループC (mtDNA)は分子人類学におけるミトコンドリアDNAハプログループの一タイプであり、ハプログループCZの子型のうち「489 10400 14783 15043[1]」等で定義されるもの。カスピ海とバイカル湖の間のどこかにおいて、60000年前に誕生したと考えられている。
分布

南アメリカから中央アメリカにかけてのアメリカ先住民で最大80%[2]の高頻度で観察される他、シベリア（北アジア）においてもエベンキで72%[3] 、ユカギールで69%[4] など高頻度に観察される。東アジアにおいてもそれほど頻度は高くないものの、観察される。C1はアメリカで観察される系統だが、C1aのみアジアでもみられる。
