ハタネズミ属 (Microtus) は北米およびユーラシア大陸に広く生息するネズミ目ネズミ科ハタネズミ亜科に属するハタネズミを含む属である。この属の特徴は小さな耳を持つことであり、これは学名 Microtus (< mikros + otos) の起源でもある。

主に草地に生息する。体型は概して丸く、短い耳、足、尾が特徴である。草食であり草、木の実、根等を食物とする。

きわめて多様な種が属している。過去にミズハタネズミ属に分類されていたものが、分子系統学による研究の結果、ハタネズミ属に属することがわかった例（アメリカミズハタネズミ）もある。
