アバンギャルド・ミュージック
ハイパーポップ（英: Hyperpop）は、ポピュラー音楽をマキシマリズム（英語版）的ないし誇張した形で解釈することで特徴づけられる[3]、ゆるやかに定義された音楽ムーブメント[4][3]およびマイクロジャンル（英語版）である[5]。このジャンルのアーティストは通常、エレクトロニック、ヒップホップ、ダンス・ミュージックの表現を利用し、ポップとアバンギャルド（英語版）の感性を統合する[6]。このムーブメントはLGBTQ+のオンライン・コミュニティとしばしば関連しており[6]、多くのキーパーソンが自らがトランスジェンダー、ノンバイナリー、ゲイであることを表明している[7]。
このジャンルには数多くの源流があるが、ハイパーポップがはっきりとしたスタイルを有するに至るには、A・G・クックと、彼のレーベルであるPCミュージック（英語版）に所属するソフィー、チャーリーXCXらによる2010年代中盤の作品の影響が大きい[6]。また、レーベルの関係者ではないアーティストとしてはハドソン・モホークやラスティなどもルーツのひとつとみなされることがある[6][8]。このシーンの音楽は、Spotifyが2019年8月、A.G.クックや100 Gecs（英語版）らの楽曲を収録した公式プレイリストの名称を「Hyperpop」に改称したことで広く耳目を集めた[5]。
