高度治療室（こうどちりょうしつ）とは、病院内の施設の一種。呼吸、循環、代謝その他の急性機能不全の患者を24時間体制で管理し、より効果的な治療を施すことを目的とする[1]。英語では High Care Unit と呼び、日本でもHCUという略号が用いられることがある[2]。
概要

一般にICUに比べて重症度の低い患者の管理を行っているが、特定集中治療室管理料の施設基準の届け出を行っていない施設ではHCUが重症度の高い患者の管理を行っている[3]。


HCUでは「病棟で重篤な症状が見られる患者」「救急患者のうち継続的な状態管理が必要な患者」「手術後に高度な状態管理が必要な患者」など急性期の重症患者を受け入れる[4]。


HCUの対象となる場合の代表例としては、主として急性呼吸不全などがあり生命が危険にさらされているものが挙げられる[5]。

麻酔科医だけでなく、各診療科の専門医師を配置する場合もある[6]。そして看護師の配置人数は一般病棟より多い患者4人につき看護師1人を配置し、一般病棟で配置されない医療機器類の面倒を見る臨床工学技士などが配属されている場合もある[7]。

施設基準
専任の医師が常時1名以上勤務している。

看護師が常時患者4人に1人の割合で治療室内に勤務している。

ハイケアユニット入院管理を行うにふさわしい専用の治療室を有している。

当該管理を行うために必要な次に掲げる装置および器具を治療室内に常時備えている。
救急蘇生装置（気管内挿管セット、人工呼吸装置等）

除細動器

ペースメーカー

心電計

呼吸循環監視装置


当該治療室勤務の看護師は治療室以外での当直勤務を併せて行わないものとする。
