「チルドレン」 (Children) は、イタリアの作曲家ロバート・マイルズによるインストゥルメンタル曲。最初にジョー・ヴァネリのDBXレーベルから1995年1月にEP『サウンドトラックス』の中の一部として発売されたが、この時はチャートに入らなかった[1]。ヴァネリはマイアミのナイトクラブにこの曲を持ってゆき、Platipus Recordsのサイモン・ベリーはそこで初めて「チルドレン」を聴いた。ベリーはヴァネリとリヴァプールにあるナイトクラブ『クリーム』のジェームス・バートンとともに発売に向けて動き、マイルスの1996年のデビュー・アルバム『ドリームランド』からのリードシングルとして1995年11月にこの曲を発売した[1]。「チルドレン」は多くの国でゴールドもしくはシルバー認定され、12の国で首位を獲得。1996年のヨーロッパで最も成功を収めたシングルになった。
