チェチェンの首長（チェチェンのしゅちょう、ロシア語: Глава Чеченской Республики、チェチェン語: Мехкада Нохчийн Республика）は、ロシア連邦内チェチェン共和国における政府の最高位の官職である。第二次チェチェン紛争のさなか、ロシア政府が統治を取り戻した2003年に創設された職位である。

役職名は当初、「大統領」であったが、2010年8月にラムザン・カディロフが「国に大統領は1人だけ」と主張して名称の変更を提唱し[1]、9月2日に議会の決定により「首長」に名称変更された。

2023年2月10日に憲法が改正され、チェチェン語の役職名が「民族の父」「国父」を意味するメヘダ（Мехк-да）に変更された[2][3]。なおロシア語の名称は変更されていない[4]。
要件

チェチェン共和国憲法第64条の規定により、首長は30歳以上のロシア連邦国民に限られる。任期は5年間、再選の上限は定められていない[5]。また、チェチェン議会の代議士、もしくは地方自治体の代議士を兼ねることはできない。

大統領選挙は政党が指名した候補者によって争われ、国民の直接選挙によって選出される[5]。
