微分幾何学におけるダルブーの定理 (Darboux's theorem) は、微分形式に特に関係している定理で、部分的にはフロベニウス積分定理(英語版)の一般化となっている。この定理はいくつかの分野の基本的結果であり、特にシンプレクティック幾何学で重要である。定理は、ジャン・ダルブー(Jean Gaston Darboux) [1] にちなんでいて、彼はこの定理をパッフ(Pfaff)(英語版)[2]の問題の解として導出した。
この定理の多くの結果のうちの一つは、任意の 2つの同一次元のシンプレクティック多様体は、互いに局所シンプレクティック同相である。すなわち、全ての 2 n {\displaystyle 2n} 次元のシンプレクティック多様体は、局所的には標準のシンプレクティック形式を持つシンプレクティックベクトル空間 C n {\displaystyle \mathbb {C} ^{n}} とみなすことができる。また、この定理の結果の類似として接触幾何学(英語版)(contact geometry)へ応用されるものもある。 この定理の、詳細な記述は次のようになる[3]。 θ {\displaystyle \theta } を n {\displaystyle n} 次元多様体 M {\displaystyle M} の微分 1-形式とし、 d θ {\displaystyle d\theta } が一定のランク p {\displaystyle p} を持つと仮定する。 M {\displaystyle M} 上で常に θ ∧ ( d θ ) p = 0 {\displaystyle \theta \wedge \left(d\theta \right)^{p}=0} が成り立てば、局所座標系 x 1 , … , x n − p , y 1 , … , y p {\displaystyle x_{1},\ldots ,x_{n-p},y_{1},\ldots ,y_{p}} が存在し、 θ = x 1 d y 1 + … + x p d y p {\displaystyle \theta =x_{1}\,dy_{1}+\ldots +x_{p}\,dy_{p}} となる。他方、 M {\displaystyle M} 上で常に θ ∧ ( d θ ) p ≠ 0 {\displaystyle \theta \wedge \left(d\theta \right)^{p}\neq 0} が成り立てば、局所座標系 x 1 , … , x n − p , y 1 , … , y p {\displaystyle x_{1},\ldots ,x_{n-p},y_{1},\ldots ,y_{p}} が存在し、 θ = x 1 d y 1 + … + x p d y p + d x p + 1 {\displaystyle \theta =x_{1}\,dy_{1}+\ldots +x_{p}\,dy_{p}+dx_{p+1}} となる。 特に、 ω {\displaystyle \omega } を n = 2 m {\displaystyle n=2m} 次元多様体 M {\displaystyle M} 上のシンプレクティック 2-形式とすると、ポアンカレの補題により、それぞれの M {\displaystyle M} の点 p {\displaystyle p} の近傍で、 d θ = ω {\displaystyle d\theta =\omega } となる 1-形式 θ {\displaystyle \theta } が存在する。さらに、 θ {\displaystyle \theta } は上で述べたダルブーの定理の前提のうち1つ目を満たし、 p {\displaystyle p} の近傍に局所座標系(chart) U {\displaystyle U} が存在し、その中で、 θ = x 1 d y 1 + … + x m d y m {\displaystyle \theta =x_{1}\,dy_{1}+\ldots +x_{m}\,dy_{m}} が成り立つ。外微分をとると、 ω = d θ = d x 1 ∧ d y 1 + … + d x m ∧ d y m {\displaystyle \omega =d\theta =dx_{1}\wedge dy_{1}+\ldots +dx_{m}\wedge dy_{m}}
