ダバオ誤報事件（ダバオごほうじけん）は、第二次世界大戦（大東亜戦争）中の大日本帝国海軍が、ダバオ沿岸のサランガニ湾（英語版）に連合国軍が上陸したという虚報を信じてダバオから退避した事件[1]。のちに海軍最大の不祥事のひとつとして、平家の大軍が、水鳥の羽音を源氏の軍勢の襲来と誤認して逃げ散ったと伝えられる「富士川の戦い」の故事に因んで「ダバオ水鳥事件」ともよばれている[2] 。
