カナダ人歌手として史上最多売上記録を持つほか、全世界での総売上枚数は2億枚を超えており、世界の音楽史上最も売れたアーティストの一人である[2][3][4]。代表曲に「美女と野獣」「パワー・オブ・ラヴ」「ビコーズ・ユー・ラヴド・ミー」「オール・バイ・マイセルフ」「マイ・ハート・ウィル・ゴー・オン（タイタニック愛のテーマ）」などがある。
