アテネにある大統領官邸

ギリシャの大統領（ギリシャのだいとうりょう）はギリシャの元首たる大統領。現在の正式名称はギリシャ共和国大統領（ギリシャ語: Πρ?εδρο? τη? Ελληνικ?? Δημοκρατ?α?, ラテン文字転写: Proedros ti?s Elli?niki?s Di?mokratias）。
概要

議会による間接選挙で選出される。任期は5年で、1回まで再選が許されている。大統領には政府の要請に基づいて、宣戦布告、講和締結、同盟、国際機関に加盟する権限があたえられている。これらの協定、条約を批准するには議会の5分の3の賛成が必要である。大統領はまた、大臣の副署のもとで非常権限を行使することができる。1986年におこなわれた憲法改正によって権限は縮小され、議会の解散、首相の解任、憲法の一部停止、非常事態の発令ができなくなった。
