エーラー・システムは、オスカール・エーラーによって開発されたクラリネットのキーの仕掛けである。ミュラー・システム（英語版）のクラリネットを基礎として、イントネーション（音程）と音響上の欠陥（特にフォークフィンガリングをする音：B♭とF）とを補正するために音孔を追加した。エーラー・システムにはベーム・システムよりも多くのキーがあり、主な成果は特許の C♯、低い E - F の補正、フォークフィンガリングの F / B♭の補正、そしてフォークフィンガリングの B♭の補正である。主にドイツとオーストリアで使用されている。
エーラー・システムのクラリネット製作者たち

オスカール・エーラーには3人の弟子がいた。フリードリヒ・アルトゥール・ユーベル（Friedrich Arthur Uebel）、ルートヴィヒ・ウァルシェウスキー（Ludwig Warschewski）、カール＝フリードリヒ・トート（Karl-Friedrich Todt）である。ユーベルとトートは伝説的になるほど有名なドイツのクラリネット製作者である。ウァルシェウスキーはストックホルムに移住してストックホルム・フィルハーモニックのソロ・クラリネット奏者になった。ウァルシェウスキーは半仕上げのユーベルのクラリネットを買い、ボアと機械学とに取り組んだ。ウァルシェウスキーのクラリネットは、たとえばディーター・クレッカー（en:Dieter Klocker）のような有名なクラリネット奏者たちに使用された。ユーベルのクラリネットは、カール・ライスターがベルリン・フィルハーモニックに初めて参加した時に、ライスターに使用された。後にライスターはヴァーリッツァ（Herbert Wurlitzer Clarinets）のクラリネットに乗り換えた。1970年代以前に製作されたヴァーリッツァのクラリネットは、より大きなボアによってよりよいイントネーションが得られると同時に、ユーベルのクラリネットのように非常によい音がした。1970年代の後、ヴァーリッツァはクラリネットの設計にいくつかの改良を施した。ヴァーリッツァのクラリネットは今や大多数のドイツのオーケストラで使用されている。それらのクラリネットは非常に値が張るが、ヴァーリッツァの見習いの何人かは、同様のクラリネットを安く製作している。
