ウイグル（ウイグル語: ?????????‎, Уй?урлар, IPA: [uj?ur?l?r]; 簡: ?吾?, 繁: 維吾爾, .mw-parser-output .pinyin{font-family:system-ui,"Helvetica Neue","Helvetica","Arial","Arial Unicode MS",sans-serif}.mw-parser-output .jyutping{font-family:"Helvetica Neue","Helvetica","Arial","Arial Unicode MS",sans-serif}?音: Weiwu'?r, [wě?ǔ?̀?];[21][22] 英: Uyghurs, [?wi????rz][23]）は、4世紀から13世紀にかけて中央ユーラシアで活動したテュルク系遊牧民族[注 1]、及びその後裔と称する民族[24]（あるいは現在の政治的必要性から自ら「ウイグル」と名乗る民族[25]）を指す。

現在は中国の新疆ウイグル自治区やカザフスタン・ウズベキスタン・キルギスなど中央アジアに居住しており、人口は約1,000万人[26]、テュルク諸語のウイグル語を話すムスリムである[27]。
