『イエロー・サブマリン』（Yellow Submarine）は、イギリスにおいて1969年1月17日に発売されたビートルズの11作目[注釈 1]のオリジナル・アルバムで、アニメ映画『イエロー・サブマリン』のサウンドトラック。
映画で使用された楽曲は、ユナイテッド・アーティスツとの「アニメ映画のサウンドトラックとして新曲を提供する」という契約上の義務から生まれた。しかし映画のために制作された楽曲はごく僅かで、ほとんどは本作以前にシングルで発売された楽曲や、アルバムのレコーディング・セッション時のアウトテイクだった。本作に収録された楽曲のレコーディングは、前作『ザ・ビートルズ (ホワイト・アルバム)』のレコーディング・セッションよりも前に行われていたが、発売されたのは『ホワイト・アルバム』の発売から2か月後だった。
1999年に映画で使用されたビートルズの楽曲のみを集め、リミックスを施したアルバム『イエロー・サブマリン ?ソングトラック?』が発売された。
本作はビートルズの活動中のスタジオ・アルバムでは唯一全英・全米ともに1位にならなかった作品である。全英アルバムチャートとキャッシュボックス誌では最高位第3位[4]、1969年度年間ランキング第50位だった。それでもBillboard 200では最高位第2位[5]、1969年度年間ランキングは第57位、100万枚以上のセールスを記録している。

アルバム『イエロー・サブマリン』は、ユナイテッド・アーティスツとの「アニメ映画のサウンドトラックとして新曲を提供する」という契約上の義務から生まれた[6]。しかし、当初アニメ映画に対して意欲的でなかったメンバーは出来の悪い楽曲を『イエロー・サブマリン』に提供する意向を持っていた[7]。その後映画の試作を見て考えを改めたが十分な楽曲を制作できなかったため、A面にビートルズの楽曲6曲、B面にジョージ・マーティンが作曲した映画のサウンドトラック7曲という変則的な形式をとった。 ※楽曲の詳細は各項目で説明されているため、ここでは簡潔に説明する。 A面にはビートルズの楽曲が収録された。6曲のうち4曲が新曲となっている。「イエロー・サブマリン」は1966年、「愛こそはすべて」は1967年にシングルとして既に発売されていた。 未発表曲のうち、「オンリー・ア・ノーザン・ソング」が1967年2月に録音された。ジョージ・ハリスンがアルバム『サージェント・ペパーズ・ロンリー・ハーツ・クラブ・バンド』のために制作したものの採用されなかった楽曲だった[8]。
