たこやきレインボーは、スターダストプロモーションに所属する関西出身の女性タレントによる日本の女性アイドルグループである。愛称はたこ虹。ももいろクローバーZ、私立恵比寿中学などのグループと共にSTARDUST PLANET（通称スタプラ）を構成している。

ももいろクローバーZ、私立恵比寿中学、チームしゃちほこ（現TEAM SHACHI）に続くスターダストプロモーションの女性アイドルグループとして2012年9月17日に結成。2021年5月9日をもってメンバー5人全員が卒業。
関西を拠点として活動しており、阪神甲子園球場での単独ライブを成功させて甲子園の土を持って帰ることを目標としている。キャッチコピーは「スターダストの最終兵器」、「STARDUST PLANETが大阪から放つ最終兵器」。なにわのアイドル。ファンのことを「たこ虹家族」（通称“虹家族”）と呼び、公式無料ファンクラブ「たこ虹セブン（仮）」がある。あいさつは「まいど！おおきに！私たちたこやきレインボーです！」。メンバーは「たこ虹ハウス」で共同生活を送る。マネージャーの愛称は「番長」。
2018年からJリーグセレッソ大阪の「公認セレ女」を務める。
2021年4月18日のYouTube生配信ライブ「ありがとうたこやきレインボーです」内で、メンバー全員が5月9日をもってグループから卒業することを発表した。なお、ラストライブは延期の末7月31日に開催となった。
卒業時点では同じメンバー5人での新プロジェクト立ち上げが予定されていると発表されており、「ex.たこやきレインボー」を名乗っていた。しかし、2022年3月31日に新プロジェクト立ち上げを断念したことが発表され、5月4日開催された「ex.たこやきレインボー ラストフリーイベント」をもって5人での活動が終了となった。
卒業後のメンバーは個人での芸能活動を継続する。
